Yahoo! Messenger Themes

How do you use them?

  • First of all, download the .zip file.
  • Then, unzip them in WinZip or another Zip program, by clicking Actions--Extract.
  • Extract them to the C:/ directory. The path should be: C:/Program Files/Yahoo!/Messenger/skins. I have included the default path into Winzip so all you should need to do is extract them to the main drive C: and they will automatically go where they should be. c: is the drive your operating system (Windows) is installed).
  • Then in Messenger, go to Login-->Preferences, OR MESSENGER-->PREFERENCES on newer versions.
  • On the left side, under the category Appearance, go to Current Theme on the right OR "CHANGE SKIN" in newer versions, and your theme with the new name should be in the drop-down box. Click the down arrow. Your new themes should be in there. If they're not, check that you unzipped them to the right place. Enjoy! There is a list of the pages below. There may be more than one theme on a page.
  • Hopefully, these new instructions will help you. I have also updated the skins files so that they work with the newest versions.
